Position Overview: We seek an experienced and dedicated Vice Principal to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a Private School setting in Ontario, possess OCT certification, and demonstrate expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and educational administration. The Vice Principal will play a key role in supporting the school's mission and ensuring the overall success of our students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support in developing and implementing school-wide policies, initiatives, and programs.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and other administrators to promote a positive school culture, prioritizing student well-being and academic success.
  • Oversee the supervision and evaluation of teaching staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Ministry of Education regulations and accreditation standards, including the inspection process for accredited Ontario high schools.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to facilitate the enrollment process and support student recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and other stakeholders to address concerns and foster strong partnerships within the school community.
  • Depending on enrollment, teach 1-2 classes in their subject area, demonstrating excellence in instruction and curriculum delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Ontario College of Teachers certification (OCT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a Private School setting in Ontario.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario Ministry of Education policies, regulations, and accreditation standards for Private Schools.
  • Experience with a Ministry of Education Inspection of an accredited school.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students towards continuous improvement and excellence.
