Site System Specialist Intern

Job Description

• Research, resolve, and respond timely to questions/problems received via telephone, IT requests, e-mail, and walk-ins or assigned by supervisor.
• Track all requests using the IT activity log.

• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant standard software products in order to provide technically accurate solutions to customers.

• Handles network systems problem resolution and Computer/Operating systems problem resolution
• Implement new software installs as required.

• Troubleshoot and repair hardware problems, consulting product vendors as required.

• Upgrade and maintain all desktop applications.

• As needed, configure and install new workstations scheduled for replacement.

• Work with Warehouse staff to return unused PCs to Corporate.

• Perform back-up Webmaster duties as required.

• Install additional peripheral devices as required by complex users.

• Participate in network and telecommunications projects as required.

• Participate in special projects as assigned.

• Participate in team projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of IT Departmental services.

• Provide day-to-day NTFS user and NTFS group account maintenance tasks. Maintenance tasks involve resetting user passwords, adjusting user groups and documenting changes.
• Provide day-to-day NTFS security maintenance tasks. Adjust permissions to a limited range of network resources. Permission changes must be received through the proper channels and documented.
