The Airborne Mission Operations (AMO) Division of the Airborne Systems Business area has an opening for a Division Manager of Operations. This position reports directly to the Division Manager and will assist in all aspects of managing a cross-country division of over 380 employees generating over $200M of revenue annually. The Division Manager of Operations will act on behalf of the Division Manager to address programmatic, human resources, customer, contractual, business development, and other issues quickly and efficiently. In addition to helping ensure the smooth operation of the Division, the DDO will particularly focus on portfolio execution and division operations.

The Division Manager of Operations will be assigned special tasks from time-to-time that involve cross-division or cross-company responsibilities. These special tasks may include such things as helping the division implement new policies, solving difficult/complex problems (e.g., recruiting and hiring), responding to special data calls, and collaborating with other Leidos groups. During these tasks, the director will be called upon to exercise influential vice positional power and political acumen.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of all division operations in order to ensure seamless operations during times of Division Manager absence.

  • Work with program managers and senior technical staff to develop and execute strategic technology transition roadmaps.

  • Designated back-up for division manager in all Leidos management information systems.

  • Ensure the accuracy of the division's CRM entries and coordinate the staffing and general approach for new captures and proposal activities.

  • At the division manager's discretion, lead problem solving activities that affect programs across the division or require coordination outside the division.

  • Lead or participate in program execution reviews, capture process reviews, and proposal color reviews.

  • Lead or support captures and proposal writing as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Have at least 8 years of experience in progressive roles combined with a Bachelor's Degree (advanced degrees strongly preferred); or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience.

  • Have P&L, OI, program capture, management and execution experience with one or more DOD customers.

  • The candidate must have a deep working knowledge of the government contracting industry and the technical capabilities of government customers and acquisition candidates.

  • Be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

  • Be able to travel up to 10%.

  • Work in the Alexandria and Manassas Virginia areas.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
